Liam's Experience

Liam was born and raised in Peterborough. He attended Carleton University in Ottawa for his undergraduate degree and subsequently attended the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University where he obtained his Juris Doctorate. Liam graduated from law school in 2020 and was called to the Bar in October of the same year.
Prior to joining Sullivan Law Liam maintained a busy solicitors practice at a long standing and reputable law firm in Lindsay, Ontario. The areas in which Liam has experience, and will continue to practice, are in wills and estates, corporate and commercial law and residential and commercial real estate.
When an opportunity presented itself at Sullivan Law, Liam took every opportunity to pursue it. He is excited to be a part of team driven by service to their clients in the city in which he has enjoyed growing up and continuing to live in.

What do you enjoy about your job? What is your goal when a client comes to see you?

My areas of practice often lead me to interact with clients at exciting, yet sometimes intimidating or overwhelming times in their personal or professional lives. Whether buying or selling a home, starting or maintaining a business or taking a view toward the future and crafting an estate plan, I value having the opportunity to be a part of these experiences with my clients and take great joy in offering my services during these times. Like the law, clients’ circumstances are ever changing. Based on the nature of my practice, I enjoy the privilege of working with clients at various stages of their personal and professional lives. In this way, I'm able to witness the growth and development of my clients and their situations and tailor my services accordingly.

What is your goal when a client comes to see you?

My goal is to ensure that my clients feel comfortable in the decisions they are making and the transactions they are pursuing. In doing so I attempt to explain the relevant law and legal considerations, highlight various options, scenarios, and suggestions with a goal of helping ensure my clients feel fully informed.

What is something interesting about you that you'd like your clients to know?

In my spare time I enjoy playing golf during the summer months as well as attending my family cottage near Westport, Ontario. After golf season I spend time supporting my favourite sports teams the Boston Bruins and Las Vegas Raiders. I understand that the Bruins support is unpopular around this area of the province but ask that you do not hold it against me.
